Poseyville, Indiana is the perfect location to view the 2024 Total Eclipse. Our celebration starts at 11:00AM CST. Join us for music, food, games, and activities on April 8th,2024 to view the solar eclipse together as a community. Eclipse glasses will be available for FREE on the day of the eclipse for the first 2000 registered participants!

Although our RSVP for free solar glasses has closed, you can still stop by the information booth on the Community Center Lawn on Monday, April 8th, and get your pair of free solar glasses while supplies last.
Free Solar Eclipse Glasses have been provided by the Poseyville Carnegie Public Library through a grant. The free viewing glasses were made possible by a Public Libraries as Community Centers for Eclipse Education Grant, with support from the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, NASA@mylibrary, Seal, Space Science Institute and StarNet.
Glasses may be picked up at the Viewing Glasses Booth on the Community Center Lawn on April 8th.
